Right now — September

Apples, rose hips and hawthorn berries in the hedges, nuts dropping, and boletes and beefsteak in the woods.

This calendar is built from what foragers actually record in Foragers Log — not a fixed almanac. Each month is framed by what's changing: what's newly in season, what's at its peak, and what's about to finish. The species shown are ordered by how often foragers logged them that month, so it reflects a real season on the ground rather than a textbook one.
