Cap 5–12 cm, smooth, pale lilac to pinkish-brown. Lilac-colored stipe (stem). Gills crowded, lilac turning pale with age. Flesh firm and edible.
Common in grasslands, meadows, and pastures, fruiting late summer to autumn.
Edible and choice, but avoid raw consumption as it can cause mild stomach upset in some people.
